Maya Keeyana: A Lady and a Leader

Maya Keeyana is the owner and creator of Live in Love Boutique, a platform centered around mental health, emotional stability, and healing for black women. We are thrilled to announce that she will be joining us as both a sponsor and an attendee at the upcoming event on August 19th. Our longstanding relationship with Maya has been a source of joy, and we are grateful for her support.

Our collaboration with Maya began when she invited me, Terrence, to be a guest on her podcast, "Art Exhibit Podcast." During the interview, she not only acknowledged my talents as an artist but also highlighted my business acumen and my role in the creative community. This experience was monumental for me, as it was one of my first interviews, if not the very first. It was empowering to have a platform where I could discuss being a black man and an entrepreneur in the music industry, which is my greatest passion. I found it to be a therapeutic experience, as Maya embraced and even agreed with some of the more radical viewpoints I expressed, providing insight into her core values and beliefs.

Over the years, as I have engaged in conversations with Maya and witnessed her growth, I have seen her expand into various community spaces and consistently add value in alignment with her mission of uplifting and healing black people. In person, she exudes a wholesome seriousness in all her endeavors. Her cool demeanor is complemented by her warm and welcoming nature when she encounters familiar faces. Her authenticity and consistency in public settings are rare qualities these days.

Our next encounter with Maya was during an event organized at the renowned Discovery Center in Philadelphia, called "Nature and Poetry." It was there that we were introduced to her brand, Live in Love Boutique. I was thrilled to see that she had ventured into creating her own products—a path that many creatives tend to overlook until their finances become challenging.

Now that we have covered the essentials and highlighted Maya's immediate goals and accomplishments, it is crucial for you to follow her and engage with her brand firsthand. This way, you can experience and interpret the transformative and inspirational nature of her work. One thing I can say with certainty is that Maya is a strong pillar in our community, and empowering her directly empowers all of us because she embodies our shared values and actively works to pave the way for others in need.

If you don't seize the opportunity to meet her at our event, I urge you to attend her events and explore her website and personal brand. They offer transformational experiences and inspiration, not only for black women but also for those who support and wish to contribute to the African Diaspora. Let us collectively foster leadership roles for black women within the creative community, as their empowerment serves us all.
